Libya embassy urges all not to work with its sacked official

UNB

Amid internal conflict, the chargé d'affaires (CDA-acting) of the Embassy of Libya in Dhaka, Khaled Mohamed Abu Said yesterday urged the authorities concerned not to work or keep any contact with the ‘sacked’ and ‘removed’ former CDA.
“It’s fervently requested to the all authorities concerned not to work or keep any contact with the person,” he told reporters at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club.
The diplomat claimed that CDA Mhamoud MM Sallabi  was removed by the Libyan government as he destroyed its image enough by involving himself with an unscrupulous and bad circle for his personal benefit and benefit of some local staff as well.
Responding to a question, Khaled Mohamed said a team of the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka will visit Libyan Embassy to talk to the officials regarding the matter.
Earlier in a written statement, the diplomat alleged that Sallabi entered the Embassy toppling the boundary wall with 50 hired ‘Bangladeshi miscreants’ around 9:30pm on July 15 and assaulted some diplomatic staff which he described as criminal offence and very disgraceful for a diplomat.
Responding to another question, Khaled said Sallabi stopped sending Bangladeshi workers in December 2014 though Libya needed a lot of workers from Bangladesh.
He assured that he will try his best to serve the people of Bangladesh who will seek visa for visiting Libya.
