A Sylhet court yesterday placed Ayaz Ullah, 40, another accused of Rajon murder case, on a three-day remand, reports UNB.
Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Sahedul Karim passed the order after DB (Detective Branch) police inspector Suranjit Talukder, also investigation officer of the case, produced him before the court seeking a 5-day remand.
Police arrested Ayaz from Sheikh Para in Sadar upazila of Sylhet district early in the day.
The arrestee is an eyewitness to the brutal torture that caused Rajon’s death. Police the heinous killing.
Earlier on July 8, the 13-year-old boy, Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon, son of Sheikh Azizur Rahman of Badeali village in Sadar upazila, was brutally tortured to death over a theft at Sundar Ali Market in Kumargaon area of the city.
The killers themselves took the video footage of the incident and uploaded it on the internet.
The video clip went viral on social networking site Facebook and video-sharing site Youtube which caused a widespread outcry.
