Youth stabbed to death in Ctg
A youth was stabbed to death by some unidentified attackers in Chittagong city's Agrabad commercial area on Monday after being called out of his home.
The deceased was identified as Saddam Hossain, 26, son of Khurshed Alam, hailed from Nobi Nagar area of Brahmanbarhia district and also a renter of Moulvi Para area under Doublemooring Thana in the city. Helel Uddin, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Doublemooring Thana said Saddam left home around 6.20 am. The unknown attackers stabbed him in his chest, back and hands behind the Southland Centre in Agrabad Commercial area, the SI added.  He died on his way to the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH). A case was filed with Double Mooring Thana in this connection.

SC annual report handed over
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on Monday handed over the Annual Report-2016 of Bangladesh Supreme Court to President M Abdul Hamid at the Bangabhaban.
“The chief justice led a Supreme Court delegation while submitting the report while he also explained its different aspects,” President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS. The Chief Justice, he said, also told the president that the digitalization in judiciary is very significant to ensure speedy disposal of cases. “The digitization system has already started getting very positive response as it was introduced on experimental basis in Sylhet,” he quoted the chief justice as saying. Sinha sought all-out cooperation of the President to introduce the digitization system at all divisions or sections for ensuring smooth and speedy trial process.

BAF air to air firing concludes
Air to air live firing exercise by different combat aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force has been concluded at Kutubdia firing range (Chittagong) yesterday. 
The exercise was started on March 27.   Air to air firing, different air combat maneuvers and tactics were practiced during this sixteen days long exercise. The pilots and personnel of different ranks of Bangladesh Air Force actively participated in the exercise.
