SYLHET: The body of another college student who had gone missing while bathing in the Piain River at Jaflong tourist spot on Wednesday was recovered yesterday noon, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Sohag Gho, 17, a class-XI student of Kabi Nazrul College in the capital.
Earlier, the body of Sohag’s friend Abdullah Antar, 18, of the same college and son of M Sanaullah of Wari in the capital, was recovered on Friday night.
Goainghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer Salahuddin Ahmed said locals found the floating body of Sohag in a canal, 12 kilometres off the tourist spot around 1 pm and informed police.
Later, law enforces recovered the body.
Victims’ friend Tanvir Ahmed said they- six friends - came to Jaflong to spend their Eid holiday. Antar and Sohagh had gone missing while they were taking bath in the river along with their friends around 3pm on Wednesday.
