A road in the heart of the Indian capital has been named after Bangladesh’s Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports BSS from New Delhi. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Premier Sheikh Hasina yesterday jointly opened the name plaque of the road which was earlier known as Park Street near Connaught Place. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for naming a road in the Indian capital after Bangabandhu. She also extended her thanks to Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushama Swaraj for her stride to select the road. Earlier, the two prime ministers jointly unwrapped the Hindi edition of Bangabandhu’s autobiography - ‘Unfinished Memoir’. Ministry of External Affairs of India published the Hindi edition of the book.
