RANGPUR: Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor yesterday called upon the youths to utilise their internal power by changing the mindset of running after jobs after completing education, reports BSS.
"The educated youths can change their fortune through setting up of small, medium and large-scale enterprises, trade and business to flourish themselves making proper use of their honesty, dedication and innovative ideas," he said.Noor made these observations while inaugurating a conference of the SME entrepreneurs and Bankers followed by a discussion on ''Responsibility of Bankers in Developing SME Sector: Perspective Nilphamari' at Shilpokola Academy auditorium in Nilphamari as the chief guest.The SME Foundation organised the conference and discussion with assistance of Rangpur Office of Bangladesh Bank with Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari Md Zakir Hossain in the chair.Managing Director of SME Foundation Shafikul Islam, General Manager of SME and Special Project Development of Bangladesh Bank Swapan Kumar Roy, its Executive Director for Rangpur Branch Golam Mostafa and Deputy General Manager of SME Foundation Nazim Hassan Sattar, addressed as special guests. On the occasion, the Minister also distributed Taka one crore and 20 lakh as SME loans of different banks among 11 SME entrepreneurs of Nilphamari district.Asaduzzaman Noor underscored the need for exploring potential of the prospective local small and medium enterprise (SME) sector through flourishing male and female entrepreneurship to accelerate national uplift and enhance economic growth.
