Bangladesh pace prodigy Mustafizur Rahman got the non-objection certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the ongoing

10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Iconic all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who took his permission earlier, went to India straight from Sri Lanka to join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
But Mustafiz returned home from Colombo with the team on Friday after over month-long tour to get the nod from the board. Now he is likely to fly for Hyderabad on April 11 to join the fortress of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who lifted their maiden IPL trophy last year.
BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan confirmed the news of Mustafizur’s permission from the board, stating that he will be available for the IPL from third match.
“In fact, we have given our NOC to Mustafiz. He will participate in the current IPL edition. You all will get to see him in IPL,” said Nizamudding Chowdhury.
“There are some administrative matters such as visa and other things. He will go there as soon as possible after completing those things. Then Mustafiz will be seen for his franchise team,” Sujan told The Independent.
If he flies on Tuesday, he will miss the initial two matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 5 and Gujarat Lions on April 9. But he will get chance to play the third match against Mumbai Indians on April 12.
Defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad made a stunning start without Mustafiz as they thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs in their opener. They will play their next match at their home turf against Gujarat Lions on April 9.
The cutter master claimed 17 wickets from 16-match road string with an average of 24.76 last year.
But the 20-year-old paceman will not get much time to play for Hyderabad as he has to join the national team for his international schedule.
Bangladesh will play two back-to-back international commitments of triangular series in Ireland (involving of New Zealand and hosts Ireland) and Champions Trophy in England. Prior to these extravaganza events, Tigers will hold a 10-day conditioning camp in Sussex. So, they will fly for their first destination on April 26.
An Indian daily adds” Mustafizur Rahman’s stint in the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to be shorter than previously expected after it was revealed on Friday that he would take time off before joining his Sunrisers Hyderabad teammates.
He has also been in decent form for Bangladesh. He picked up six wickets in the three-match ODI series as part of Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka. The same tour saw him scalp four wickets for 21 runs in the second and final T20I between the sides that was played on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Sunrisers head coach Tom Moody had revealed that Rahman was expected to join the team on Friday after the conclusion of Bangladesh’s tour.
However, an update on when he will join the Hyderabad franchise is expected over the weekend.
