Student ‘dies after taking deworming tablets’

A schoolgirl died allegedly after taking ‘deworming tablets’ at Ghiba village at Benapole on Thursday.Quoting victim’s uncle, police said Riya, 10, a class V student of Ghiba Government Primary School and daughter of Abu Bakkar fell sick after taking deworming tablets at her school on Wednesday.She was then given first aid.On Thursday morning, Riya fell sick again and started vomiting. She died while being taken to Jessore General Hospital in the afternoon.
