Eaysmin Ara reappointed as Uttara University pro-vice chancellor
Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha has been reappointed as the pro-vice chancellor of Uttara University for the next four years. She has been appointed through an instruction by the Ministry of Education after getting this approval from the president and the chancellor of the university.
Dr Eaysmin completed her first tenure from 2012-2016 and will start the second term from the date of her receiving the appointment letter, said a press release.
As a dedicated soul to education and research, Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha completed her graduation and post-graduation in Bengali Language and Literature from Dhaka University and she achieved her PhD Degree from Jadabpur University, India.

BUBT wins championship in int’l robotic contest

A team from Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) became champion in the ‘Autonomous Robotics Challenge Competition’ in ‘Techkriti-2017’, biggest tech-based contest of Asia, held at Kanpur in India recently. The five-member team named ‘BRC_BRAVO’ by the students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department of the university secured first position in the contest by defeating the students from different Asian countries, including India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Japan and Egypt , says a press release.
The five members of team were --Salseng Mrong, Rakib Rayhan, Shahadat Hossain Razib, Mohnin Sarker Raihan and Ariful Islam while Abdullah Bin Shams, Lecturer of the department, acted as mentor of the team. M Azharul Haque, Associate Professor and Chairman of the department, said, “. Our students showed the surprise. Undoubtedly, it is a great victory for us.
