‘Swatta’—a full-length Bengali feature film starring King Khan-famed Bangladeshi actor Shakib Khan and Indian actress Paoli Dam is going to be released in cinemas tomorrow. The film is directed by Hasibur Reza Kollol.

On the occasion of the film’s release in the different parts of the country, a premiere show was arranged on Tuesday afternoon in the capital’s Star Cineplex of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall.
The premiere show of the film was attended by Bangla Academy Director General Shamsuzzaman Khan, journalist Nayeem Nizam, filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, writer Simon Jakaria and cast and crew of the film. But the two main characters of the film, Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam couldn’t be able to join the premiere show due to their professional commitment to their ongoing film ventures. However, Paoli Dam made her presence available for an Adda with the audiences and fans through Facebook live session from India.
The formal journey of the film began in 2014. The work closed down several times due to scheduling dilemma of the actors. However, overcoming all difficulties, the shooting of the film ended with a song sequence, shot in Cox’s Bazar on October 20 last year.
With the film ‘Swatta’, Indian actress Paoli Dam has paired up for the first time with popular actor Sakib Khan, a prominent actor from the Dhaka film industry.
The script and dialogue of the film are written by Ferdous Hasan based on the story of Sohanee Hossain’s ‘Maa’.
Alongside Shakib and Paoli, the film also stars Nasrin, Rina Khan, Don, Kabila, Shimul Khan and others.
