Natl Sports Day today

The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council (NSC) will observe the National Sports Day today.
The Ministry of Sports fixed for April 6 as the National Sports Day when for the first time it will be observed in Bangladesh while internationally, April 6 is observed as the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace.
NSC took some initiative to observe the day with some colorful programme while there will be a rally at morning 7am with Biren Sikder, State Minister for Youth and Sports, will inaugurate and his deputy Arif Khan Joy and the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell will attend the rally.
The rally will start from in front of the Sheikh Russell Roller Skating Complex, adjacent to the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS).
Ashok Kumar Biswas, secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), informed this correspondent on Tuesday, The Sports Day is first time for us, so we have plans to make the occasion colorful. We have already sent letter to every federation to decorate their respective office, to join in the rally at morning and to organize friendly match, with their respective event, peoples from all quarters have been requested to participate in the rally.
