Bangladesh players are determined to give their beloved captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza a memorable farewell as they take on Sri Lanka in the second and final T20 at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today. The match starts at 7.30 pm as per Bangladesh Time.
Mashrafe had announced his retirement from the T20 International during the toss of the first T20 which Bangladesh lost by six wickets. A win in the second T20 after which Mashrafe’s career in this format would come to an end, would not only help Bangladesh to avoid the series defeat but also made Mashrafe’s exit a memorable one.
Bangladesh earlier drew the Test and ODI series by 1-1 and if they could also draw the T20 series, this tour would be regarded as highly successful mission for
them. And it will also justify the claim of Bangladesh that they are now the force in the overseas condition as well.
But the task would be difficult as they are on an eight-match losing streak in T20 cricket.
