Tax identification system to find tax evaders: Nojibur

NBR to observe Hal Khata

Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Md Nojibur Rahman yesterday said tax evasion identification system has been developed to detect tax evaders.

“Tax payers would not get chance to evade tax like earlier due to tax evasion identification system that has been improved to detect any tax evasion,” said Nojibur  Rahman.
He was addressing at a pre-budget discussion with Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) at NBR auditorium in the capital. Member of NBR Barrister Jahangir Hossain, President of ERF Saif Islam Dilal, general secretary Ziaur Rahman spoke on the occasion, among others.
He said that the young generation will be involved through social media to create awareness among the people. 
He also said NBR has planned to offer sweets to the taxpayers marking the upcoming Chaitra Sankranti, the last day of the last month of the Bangla Year. 
“We will offer our taxpayers sweets at our offices across the country, as they pay their taxes in a respectable atmosphere,” said NBR chief.
