1000 illegal gas lines cut off in Gazipur

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company, Gazipur zonal office disconnected more than 1000 illegal household gas lines in Bashir Sarak and Telipara areas of Gazipur city yesterday.
A team of Titas gas authority conducted a raid in these areas from morning to evening.
Manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Gazipur zonal office engineer Sabber Ahmed said more than 1000 illegal lines of 600 houses in these areas were disconnected.
They also seized about 1600 meters of pipe, and other materials used for illegal gas lines. Sensing the presence of mobile court, the illegal gas users of the area fled from their houses.
Eng Sabber Ahmed said these users connect lines in their houses without any permission of the Titas gas authority. High officials of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company, Gazipur zonal office were present during the mobile court.
Gazipur Titas office sources said they will continue the special drives against illegal users.
