Biman catering wins award

Biman Flight Catering Centre (BFCC) has been given Excellent on Time Performance-2016 Award by the Malaysian Airlines Authority for its quality in-flight meals and cabin dressing, reports BSS.
The award will be formally handed over on April 6 at Hamburg of Germany, said a Biman press release yesterday.
Malaysian Airlines In-Flight Operations Depart-ment Head Rahima Farzan Ali has confirmed the BFCC about the award.
BFCC has already attained acceptability to foreign airlines that operate flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for its quality in-flight meals and cabin dressing.
Apart from Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the BFCC supplies in-flight meals to Malaysian
Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Dragon Air and Turkish Airlines. Besides, it provides cabin dressing to another 11 foreign carriers regularly.
Keeping in mind about specialized food for passengers, BFCC recently introduced diabetic meals and kids meals.
In fiscal 2015-16, the BFCC supplied 28 lakh meals to both local and foreign carriers to generate Tk 119 crore as revenue, of which Tk 28 was net profit.
