ULAB hosts talk on ‘The Journey of an Entrepreneur’
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), through its Center for Enterprise and Society (CES), organised a talk titled “The Journey of an Entrepreneur” featuring Ms. Sylvana Quader Sinha, Founder and MD of Pravaa Health yesterday, says a press release.
Professor Imran Rahman, Vice-chancellor (Acting), ULAB; Sajid Amit, Director, CES, ULAB; Ms. Sabrina Imam, IT Director, Praava; Sanjeev Pubbichetty, COO, Praava; and Saleh Anand, IT analyst, Praava , were present. The talk was delivered to a full-house of undergraduate students interested in entrepreneurship and understanding the challenges and prospects thereof, in Bangladesh.
Seminar on Career Development held at IUB
A Seminar on career development titled ‘Drive Your Dream’ was held at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) recently at its own campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka, says a press release.

Students seeking NU admission under quotas asked to submit documents
The students, intending to admit into first year honors (professional) course under academic session 2016-2017 of National University (NU) under different quotas, have been asked to submit their relevant certificates by April 15.
The intending students belonging to ward, freedom fighter, ethnic minority and disabled quotas have been asked to submit their attested copies of relevant certificates and
documents with their applications to the Dean of the Undergraduate Studies School of the university.
Detailed information in this regard is available on the university website www.admissions.nu.edu.bd and nu.edu.bd/admissions, an official release said.
NU degree, certificate courses results published
The results of 2nd year Degree (pass) and Certificate Courses Examinations 2015 under National University (NU) were published Monday afternoon.
Students' registration no. and college-wise results are available on the university website www.nu.edu.bd and www.nubd.info, said an official release in the capital on Monday.
The students could know their results sending SMS to 16222 from any telecom operator following the format nu<>deg<>reg.
They also can apply for re-examining the results through online
(www.nubd.info) till May 3, it said. A total of 1,69,034 students from 1729 colleges appeared the examinations at 691 centers across the country while 1,61,055 students passed the exams successfully. The pass rate is 95.28 percent, the release added.
10 JU PM Gold Medal awardees meet VC
A total of 10 female students of Jahangirnagar University (JU), who were awarded Prime Minister Gold Medal for the years 2013 and 2014, on Monday met with JU Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam at her office on the campus.
The awardees included Tanjina Akhter and Rukeya Akhter Suravi of Microbiology department, Jesmin Nahar Jumur of Archaeology department, Sharmin Yousuf Rikta of Environmental Science department, Syeda Sumaiya Habib of Economics department, Sadifa Sultana of Marketing department, Asma Ahmed of Finance and Banking department, Fatema Tuz Johra of International Relations department, Zakiya Hossain Duty of Public Administration department and Sumaiya Khan of Chemistry department, said a JU release on the campus on Monday.
Professor Farzana Islam congratulated them for their academic successes and urged them to utilize their knowledge in ensuring social welfare, the release added.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the gold medals to them at a function on March 22 in the city. University Grants Commission (UGC) announced the awards in recognition of their brilliant academic feat in honors and masters examinations in 2013 and 2014.
