A team of Maldives police arrived in Rajshahi yesterday to investigate a case filed over the death of Raudha Athif, Maldivian model and student of Islami Bank Medical College. A two-member team of the Maldives police arrived at Shah Makhdum Airport around 4:50pm by a flight of a private airline. Zillur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shah Makhdum Police Station, and Sub-Inspector Rashidul Islam, investigation officer (IO) of the case, were present at the airport to receive them. The Maldivian team members are Senior ASP Mohamed Riyaz and Ali Ahmed, OC Zillur Rahman said. Meanwhile, IO Rashidul Islam told this correspondent that the Maldives police team will talk to the investigators of Bangladesh Police and visit the room where Raudha’s body was found hanging at the women's dormitory of her medical college in the city. On March 29, Raudha, a second-year student of Islami Bank Medical College and Vogue model, was found dead in her room.
