BCB just want to play only Tests
with Australia on schedule

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director and its publication committee chairman Jalal Younus said that they want to play only pending Tests against Australia what they suspended in 2015 due to security grounds.

Bangladesh have a tight national and international fixture ahead as they will play a triangular series in Ireland and a home series against Pakistan before and after Champions Trophy in June.
Tigers will then tour to South Africa and play BPL in the last quarter of the current year. Despite their willingness, they could not delay the series against Australia after the scheduled period of August September.
“Bangladesh have a tight schedule ahead what we have already informed Australia,” said Jalal Younus.
“Australia have proposed to play during the dry season in November December while there will be no threat of flood or rains. But we have to think about it because we have to tour in South Africa. Along with that, we have BPL and other domestic cricket leagues. It is very difficult for us to accommodate later,” Younus told media.
“There was no chance of playing other formats of games here. We want to play two Tests only what remains pending,” he added.
As per the schedule, Australia are slated to come here in August-September, just after the conclusion of the home series against Pakistan.
It is learnt that Australia unofficially proposed to play only ODI games against Bangladesh but the decision has not settled yet.
In the aspect of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Shaharyar Khan’s request, BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon recently said that they will mull to send their age level team or academy team in Pakistan.
When asked if was there any pressure of sending Bangladesh’s team in Pakistan ahead of the bilateral series and BPL, Jalal citing the past instance of women team’s tour said that they will take their decision for the greater interest and relationship of cricket.
“We have not gone any bargaining with Pakistan. Even there is no such binding for us to send our team in Pakistan. For the interest of the cricket and the relationship of the cricket, we had earlier sent our national women’s team in Pakistan. But we this time will mull to send academy team or age level team,” Jalal said.
But he said that ICC will take the final decision to send any foreign team in Pakistan under the security condition.
“International Cricket Council (ICC) is involved in the whole process of sending any team in Pakistan under the security situation of the country. A fact finding team formed by ICC toured Pakistan during the final of the PSL. On the base of their report, ICC will take their next decision,” he said, adding “If they think that Pakistan is safe and has environ to play for foreign teams. In that case, we like other teams will mull to send our team in future. But it’s a matter of time being.”
About neutral venues, BCB director said that the question of the neutral venue will be arisen when the home and away series under FTP is settled.
“Pakistan will tour Bangladesh to play a full-fledged series under FTP. In case of FTP tour, if we could not go in Pakistan due to the security ground, the question of the neutral venue will arise,” he said.
“It fully depends on the opposition. Through negotiation if we could bring them and play the games in our country, then there is no question of the neutral venue,” he also said.
“But if they want to play at neutral venue whether it is in Dubai or Sri Lanka, then we will have no reservation to play there,” he added.
“England kept their faith in us when a tough situation was prevailing across Bangladesh. We have definitely the same kind of faith on England and their government. Hopefully, they will keep the same type of security arrangement at the time of the Champions Trophy,” he told in response to a query.
