50 held in Rajshahi

The law enforcers in a special drive arrested 50 people, including a Shibir man, from Rajshahi district yesterday. 

They are accused of several cases including subversive activities, drugs peddling.
Among the arrestees, 12 held from Boalia while 19 from Rajpara and 8 from Motihar, 10 from Shah Mukhdum, and Shibir activist identified as Salauddin Mahmud Alia Rana.
Assistant police commissioner of Rajshahi metropolitan unit Ifthkhayer Alam, said among arrestees, 22 wanted in several cases and others are accused of subversive activities, peddling drugs in the district. Punitive action would be taken from the administration according the respective case, he added.
