Emerging Team Asia Cup semis today

While Bangladesh national team will be raring to clinch the ODI series against the home side in Colombo, Bangladesh Under-23 Cricket Team will lock horns with their Sri Lankan counterparts in the semifinal of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Chittagong today to go into the finale of the eight-nation tournament.
The match will start at 9:00am at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in the port city.
The home side headed to Chittagong yesterday night after the conclusion of the third and last group phase match against Pakistan, the match which though ended in a tie. As a result, Bangladesh finished their group slot as the runners-up with five points.
Bangladesh held their pre-match day practice session at the ZACS in afternoon session led by its head coach Mizanur Rahman Babul. They honed their skills and techniques on Chittagong surface before clashing against the visiting side. In the other match of the semifinal, Group-B champion Pakistan Under-23 team will face their next-door neighbours Afghanistan, who finished the group phase as runner-up with four points, at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.
Pakistani side also traveled to the port city in the aftermath of the group phase match on that night. The final of the all Asian competition will be a day-night affair to be played at the ZACS at 2:30pm on April 3.
