Former BNP leader commits suicide

Netrakona: A former BNP leader allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Azhar Road area of the district town on Thursday, reports UNB.Officer-in-Charge of the Netrakona Model Police Station, Abu Taher Dewan, said Kamal Ahmed, 58, former office secretary of BNP of the district and former president of BNP of Netrakona municipality, was found hanging from the ceiling of his own room.Police rescued his body at 12pm and sent it to the morgue for autopsy. The reason for his committing suicide is yet unknown. A case was filed.
