Neo JMB man held in Rajshahi

Police arrested a suspected member of banned outfit militant organisation Neo-Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) yesterday in Rajshahi district. The arrested was identified as Mahmud Hasan, 50, son of late Din Mohammed Sarder, suspected neo JMB man and resident of Goalkandi area under Bagmara upazila of the distrct. Nasim Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Bagmara police station, said he was one of the chief associate of JMB leader Siddiqur Rahman alias Bangla Bhai and accused of several cases in different police station for subversive activities. Mahmud was wanted from 2004 and arrested yesterday morning in a special drive, he added.
