School handball gets underway today

Polar Ice Cream School Handball will go underway from today with 31 schools including boys and girls division will participate in the competition.

Among the 31 schools, 18 are in boys division and 13 in the girls division registered their names to play in the 24th edition of the school handball tournament organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) since 1984.
The boys’ teams will play splitting into six groups while the group champions will move into the second round, where they will compete dividing into two groups. The group champions and the runners up will play in the semifinal phase.
The top team of each group of girls’ division will move into the semifinal.
BHF general secretary Asaduzaman Kohinoor stated this at a press conference yesterday at the BHF office room. Marketing manager of the Polar Ice Cream, was also present in the press meet.
