PM opens 33 schemes in Faridpur today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of 33 development projects in Faridpur today, reports BSS. During the visit, Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League (AL) President, will address a public meeting to be orgainised by the district AL at Government Rajendra College playground in the afternoon. The premier would open 20 development schemes by unveiling plaques from the college playground.
The projects that will be inaugurated are Faridpur Deputy Commissioner's Office, Faridpur Medical College and Hospital, Palli Kabi Jasimuddin Sangrahashala, Faridpur Institute of Marine Technology, Shishu Academy, Deputy Inspector General's Office of Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, District Muktijoddha Complex Bhaban, Regional Passport Office, Faridpur 50 Megawatt Peaking Power Plant, Government Rajendra College Academic Cum Examination Hall, a 96-meter RCC bridge over Kumar river on Char Kamalapur Kheyaghat-Bilmamudpur School road in Sadar Upazila, Muktijoddha Complex Bhaban at Bhanga Upazila, Upgrading of Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex from 31 to 50 seats, Regional Election Office in Faridpur, BSTI Bhaban, Bhanga Thana Bhaban, Madhukhali Fire Service and Civil Defence Station, Development Project from Sadar Upazila to Rasulpur via Bakhunda GC and Charnikhurdi road, Munshidangi Community Clinic at Dikrichar union under Sadar upazila and 33/11 KV Harukandi Power Sub Station (20/26.66 MVA).
The prime minister will also lay the foundation stones of 12 development schemes from the playground.
The whole district town has been decorated with arches, colorful festoons, banner and illuminating lights, while a three-tier security has been enforced ahead of the visit of the prime minister.
