Housewife gang-raped

A pregnant housewife was gang-raped by two friends of her husband at Sutrapur in the capital early yesterday.
Talking to The Independent, Rakib Miah, husband of the victim said his friends Litu and Ridoy raped his wife after making him drunk at an apartment near Srikhula Mosque at Banianagar under Sutrapur Police Station ,where he is working as a security guard.
Quoting the victim, Inspector Rezaul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Sutrapur Police Station, said marking his birthday her husband organised a party at the second floor of the apartment, which is owned by US returnee Rezaur Rahman, on Wednesday night. The three friends drank alcohol together and also smoked cannabis. At one stage, Litu and Ridoy rendered Rakib senseless using sedative drugs.
Bringing Rakib’s wife to a room of the apartment’s ground floor, Litu and Ridoy raped her around 3am. Later they fled the spot. Before leaving the scene, they also threatened her not to disclose the incident.
