Badal put on 5-day remand

A court here yesterday placed another accused, Tajuddin Ahmed Badal, on a 5-day remand in connection with the gruesome murder of 13-year-old boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajan, reports UNB from Sylhet.
Sylhet metropolitan magistrate Sahedul Karim passed the order after police produced Badal before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
Meanwhile, Ali Hossain, another accused of the same case, made his confessional statement under clause 164 before the court yesterday, said additional deputy commissioner (media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police M Rahmat Ullah.
Earlier, on Wednesday night locals handed over Badal to police with the help of his father.
Meanwhile, Law Minister Anisul Huq yesterday said the killers of teenage boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon will be tried in a speedy trial tribunal.
