Three jailed for catching jatka

A mobile court in Haimchar Upazila led by Executive Magistrate Abul Hasnat Moinuddin sentenced to three fishermen to two years imprisonment each for catching jatka (hilsa less than 10 inches long) in the Meghna River yesterday afternoon.
The law enforcers conducted a raid at a launch at 1 pm and arrested Abdul Gani Gazi, 38, of Barisal, Farhad, 22, and Sohel, 25, both are inhabitants of Bhola and seized 125   kilograms of jatkas kept in baskets.
