CHITTAGONG: Rapid Action Battalion-7 (RAB) arrested two persons along with 80,000 yaba tablets from city’s Nimtala Biswa Road early yesterday. The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Zakir, 26, and Jashim Uddin Rana, 30. Both are the close associate of Zahedul Islam alias Alo, who is known as yaba peddler of the city. RAB sources said acting on tip-off RAB members conducted a drive in the area around 12.15am and detained the duo with the yaba tablets and seized a pick-up van. Meanwhile, the arrestees were held on December 26 last year with 2, 15,000 yaba tablets and a gun. Came out on bail from jail they have started their previous business again, said Shaheda Sultana, assistant director, RAB-7.
