Schoolteacher hacked dead

Pirojpur: A teacher of a primary school was hacked to death over a previous enmity at Baliari village in Nazirpur upazila early yesterday, reports UNB. Police said a group of miscreants stormed the house of Samiran Majumdar, 40, a teacher of Baliari Govt Primary School, around 2am and chopped him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him injured. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital around 4am, officer-in-charge of Nazirpur Police Station M Habibur Rahman said, adding that Samiran might have been killed over a land related dispute.
