On the back of successfully holding the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited Bangladesh to play two T20 matches here before their tour to Bangladesh in July-August, reports Dawn from Lahore.
The PCB wants Bangladesh to tour the country in May, hoping it would strengthen Pakistan’s case of reviving international cricket at home.
PCB conducted the PSL final under tight security in Lahore on March 5 with a number of foreign players in action.
In recent years the PCB has invited several foreign teams but have only succeeded in hosting Zimbabwe, Kenya and Afghanistan. The country’s cricket governing body said Ireland and the West Indies were also willing to tour but cancelled their plans following bobmb blasts on both occasions.
