A cleanliness drive was conducted at 65 locations across the country, including Gulshan-1 lake area, yesterday as part of a campaign to create awareness among people, reports UNB.
The target of this campaign is to reach at least 80 million people of the country each year through media and directly educate 5 million people about hygiene practices by 2020.
Officials of Reckitt Benckiser and Channel i along with other guests and members of the media participated in the campaign ‘Dettol-Channel i Porichchonno Bangladesh’.
Additional Chief Waste Management Officer of Waste Management Department (WMD) of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Lt Col Selim Mahamud expressed solidarity with the campaign participating in the cleanliness drive, said a press release.
In Dhaka, they started the drive from Police Plaza and Shooting Club, and ended it near the bridge of Bir Uttam AK Khandakar road close to Gulshan-1 intersection.
