Recently, the Belt and Road Conference on Yunnan Enterprise Investment in Southeast Asia Promotional Conference was held in Kunming. The conference was sponsored by the Yunnan Provin-cial Energy Investment Group and Southeast Asia Deloitte &Touche LLP. It was co-organized by the Yunnan Newspaper Media (Group) Co., Ltd and the Singapore Repre-sentative Office for Yunnan Com-merce.

Yunnan is easily accessible to Southeast Asian countries by water, land and air. With the further imple-mentation of the Belt and Road Ini-tiative, Yunnan will become more closely connected with Southeast Asian countries. Yunnan enterprises boast strength in the five areas of energy, transportation, logistics, biotechnology and agriculture, and are actively looking to increase their presence in Southeast Asia. In order to help Yunnan enterprises to expand further overseas, business representatives from five ASEAN countries—Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indo-nesia introduced 179 projects at the promotional conference.
