2 �robbers� arrested in Jhenidah

Police arrested two alleged robbers early yesterday when they were taking preparation to commit robbery in Gopalpur area of  Sadar upazila.
The robbery suspects are Mohidul Islam, 32, of Gopalpur village and Motiar Rahman, 35, of Durgapur village in Sadar upazila.
Additional superintendent of police ASP Azbahar Ali said a gang of robbers was felling roadside trees to block the Dhaka-Jhenidah highway in preparation of robbery.
The police from Bazar Gopalpur inspection camp on receiving prior information conducted a drive in the area and arrested the two robbers. The other members of the gang had managed to flee.
