Sirajganj: The five-member probe body, formed by the district administration to look into the terrible road accident on the west side of Bangabandhu Bridge that left 17 people dead, has submitted its report, reports UNB.
The probe panel, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner AHM Anwar Pasha, submitted the report to the deputy commissioner on Sunday evening, said the committee chief.
The probe body blamed drowsy driving of the driver of ‘Sabir Paribahan’ bus, driving on the wrong side and lack of fitness of the bus for the accident.
It also recommended taking action against owner of the bus Abdul Gafur and its manager Hasan Ali.Earlier, 17 people were killed and at least 65 others injured in a head-on collision between a ‘Sabir Paribahan’ bus and that of ‘Azad Paribahan’ at Mulibari level crossing on the west side of Bangabandhu Bridge in Sadar upazila early Sunday.
