SAFF soccer deferred for a few days

SAFF Championship, the most coveted soccer competition of South Asian region, has been  deferred for a few days while the scheduled of the tournament was re-fixed for December 25.

The 10th edition of the biennial soccer tournament will be hosted by Bangladesh but with the request of the All Indian Football Federation (AIF) due to their franchise football league, Indian Super League (ISL).
Secretary of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Anwarul Haque Helal informed the reporters yesterday that AIFF request him to make reschedule for the tournament.
“Right now we are not going to official announcement of defer the schedule as the AIFF will make a written request very soon to me, in fact for the ISL they want a fresh schedule,” said Helal.
Helal assumed that it can take two weeks to fix a fresh schedule. “In fact they are requesting due to ISL, they told me whether it would be possible to organise the tournament in June but the marketing agent doesn’t agree.
