Celebrated Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah is coming to Dhaka with his stage play titled ‘Ismat Apa Ke Naam’. The versatile actor, who is widely known for playing all unique characters in the film, will be seen playing a lead role in the production on April 21 at the Navratri Hall of Basundhara International Convention Centre in the capital. The play will be performed by Naseeruddin Shah, his wife Ratna Pathak and their daughter. The 120-minute play ‘Ismat Apa Ke Naam’ is directed by Naseeruddin Shah, with music by Vishal Bhardwaj and vocals by Rekha Bhardwaj and Sanjiv Abhyankar.
DhakaLive has news that Blues Communications has taken the initiative to bring Naseeruddin Shah and his play to Dhaka for the local audience. Managing Director of Blues Communications said, “We always try to provide a little bit improved and unique entertainment to the audience of the country. This stage play is also the reflection of our commitment.”
Presented by City Bank, the tickets of the play are available at a few selective branches of the bank. The event details can also be found on the Facebook page of Blues Communications. To note, Naseeruddin Shah is an Indian film and stage actor and director, and a prominent figure in Indian parallel cinema. Shah has won numerous awards in his career. The Government of India has honoured him with the ‘Padma Shri’ and the ‘Padma Bhushan’ awards for his contributions to Indian cinema.
