Gladiators keep unbeaten run

Dhaka Gladiators kept their unbeaten run in the Unimed Unihealth Premier Division Basketball League with a thumping 90-56 win against The Gregs in one of three matches played yesterday at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium.
Gladiators, who are in title race with The Gregarious, faced a stiff resistance during the first half when they managed to retain a six (38-32) points lead.
Sohaib alone scored more than one-fourth of Gladiators score netting 25 points, while Ovee netted 18. Mithun (13) and Shakib (12) were the two leading scorers for Gregs.
Dhumketo Club had to fight a little to down Rangers Club 78-55 in another match. The winners managed to retain a four (30-26) points lead over the vanquished during the first half.
Sajid (25) and Tareq (17) were the two noted scorers for Dhumketo. Lincoln with 16 was the top scorer for Rangers. Rusho closely followed him with 14.
Eagles Club beat Baksibazar 75-60 in a closely contested match.
Shaheen with a good marksmanship banged 27 points for Eagles. Zahid of Baksibazar also showed his individual performance firing 22 points.
