Three of a family among 7 killed in road crash

Seven people, including three members of a family, were killed and 12 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a human hauler at Nimtali on Dhaka-Mawa highway in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshi-ganj yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Rase Miahl, 30, of Srinagar upazila, his wife Sima Begum and niece Alo, 10; Shipra Mondal, 28, Al Amin, 14, human hauler driver Ershad, 35, and Madhuri Akhter, 18, daughter of Dulal Miah of Laxmibilas village in Sirajdikhan upazila.
 Police said the Mawa-bound ‘Elish Paribahan’ bus collided head-on with a leguna bound for Dhaka in the area around 6pm. The human hauler got twisted after the collision, leaving four people dead on the spot and 15 others injured.
 Alo died on the way to hospital while Shipra and Al Amin succumbed to their injuries at Mitford Hospital in the capital.
