RANGPUR: The district Corruption Prevention Committee (CPC) has finalised weeklong programmes to observe the Corruption Prevention Week-2017 from March 26 to April 1 next in the district, reports BSS.
The programmes were finalised at the monthly meeting of district CPC organised in cooperation with the Justice Reform and Corruption Prevention project of RDRS Bangladesh at Rangapur Sahitya Parishat auditorium on Thursday.
President of the district CPC and former Vice-principal of Pabna Cadet College Md Rakibul Hasan presided over the meeting.
Moderated by General Secretary of district CPC Akbar Hossain, members of the district CPC, Presidents and General Secretaries of the school level Integrity Units, Advisors of the Integrity Units participated in the meeting.
Taking part in the discussion, the speakers expressed satisfaction on performance of the district CPC so far in creating public awareness against corruption and launching a social movement to reduce and prevent the social menace.
They stressed on educating the values of honesty to the young generations inspiring them building a corruption free society.
Akbar Hossain suggested for launching effective social movement involving everybody for eradicating corruption from every sphere of the society.
Md Rakibul Hasan stressed on creating a vigorous social renaissance in preventing corruption to accelerate the pace of socio-economic uplifts in building a developed and dignified nation in future.
