Lightning kills farmer

RAJSHAHI: A farmer was killed by thunderbolt at Diar Manikchar village under Godagari upazila of the district on Monday night, locals and hospital sources said, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam, 32.  
Golam Mostofa, chairman of Char Asariadaha Union Parishad, said he received serious injuries in the sudden lightning around 10.30 pm.
He was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead.
Two separate cases of unnatural death were recorded with the respective police station in these connections.
