Visitors are still streaming into the  recreational spots of the city in large numbers as the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday hangover continues even after four days of the festival.
People irrespective of ages were seen crowding the amusement spots, especially the bank of the river Padma, amid joy and enthusiasm making the places overcrowded till Wednesday.
They also rushed to Shahid AHM Kamaruzzaman Central Park and Zoo, Zia Shishu Park, Varendra Research Museum, Shemante Abakash, Shemante Nongor, Vadra Park, Padma Garden and Borokuthi Wi-Fi Zone to enjoy festivities.
All the parks remain crowded with visitors to the brim.
“It’s really very exciting to enjoy Eid at the recreational spot,” said Moshiur Rahman, who had come to the bank of the Padma along with his family.
Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman Central Park and Zoo and Borokuthi Padma River bank have been decorated with new look and amusement flavour to attract more visitors.
However, children enjoyed several fun rides, including toy trains, marry-go-round and a number of wheel-based rides.
Children, young boys and girls wearing colorful dresses gathered in these places where small temporary shops were set up to sell different foods and toys.
Authorities of different recreation centres in the city informed that a large number of people come there for passing time and sharing joys of Eid.
Meanwhile, a large numbers of visitors have complained that shopkeepers at various recreational spots are not following the proper rate lists and over-charging the customers.
The prices of soft drinks, chips, biscuits and burgers were almost double in maximum spots compared to those in the open markets.
However, the authorities said
they will take actions against shopkeepers based on the complaints of the visitors.
In addition to the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, the district and upazila administrations took adequate security measures to ensure peaceful celebration of the festival.
