Landslide victims get financial aid

Chittagong district administration yesterday distributed financial aid among the families of landslide victims in Amin colony and Lalkhan Bazar areas of the city.
Mesbah Uddin, deputy commissioner of Chittagong District Administration, handed over cheques for Tk one lakh to the victims’ family at the conference hall of district administration yesterday.  
Each family of the victim received cheque for Tk 20,000 and injured persons Tk 5,000 each. Mentionable, Tk 40, 000 was given instantly to the every victim’s family soon after the incident on Sunday.
On Sunday, 3 children of a family were killed in a landslide due to heavy rain in Bayazid area and two persons of a family and another person were killed due to wall collapse in Lalkhan Bazaar area.
