Mash proves fitness in practice match

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza went wicket-less after bowling eight overs in the first match since he recovered from the injury that he picked up during the series against New Zealand in January. 

The limited over cricket captain of Bangladesh played a practice match which was arranged for the practice of players of Emerging Asia Cup. Mashrafe led the Green team which lost the match by four wickets to Red team.
Mashrafe conceded 45 runs in eight overs in the match. Though he couldn’t take any wicket, it is learnt he bowled without any problem which is a good sign for Bangladesh. Mashrafe will leave the country on March 18 for Sri Lanka to lead the side in ODI and T20 series.
However batting first at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Mashrafe’s Green team amassed 211 runs before being all out. Zakir Hossain was the highest scorer for the team with 57 while Naeem Islam Junior made 33 runs. Azmeer Hossain scored 29 runs.
Abul Hasan Raju, Abu Haider Rony and Mehedi Hasan claimed two wickets apiece for Red while Nasir Hossain, Sanjamul Islam, Shafiul Islam and Nasum Ahmed picked up one wicket apiece.
Despite the target was easy, Nasir Hossain-led Red team lost six wickets to gun down the total. Opener Saif Hasan led the victory with a knock of 61 while captain Nasir Hossain was unbeaten on 51.
