New envoy to Lebanon meets President Hamid

Newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon Abdul Motaleb Sarkar made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban yesterday, reports UNB.
During the meeting, the President asked the new envoy to take initiatives for strengthening Bangla-desh’s trade ties with Lebanon and also boosting medicine and skilled manpower export from Bangladesh, said Presi-dent’s press secretary Joynal Abedin.
The new ambassador sought necessary directions to the President in discharging his duties.
Secretaries concerned to the President office were present on the occasion.
