Cricketers’ transfer begins today

The traditional Inter Club Players Transfer is finally back two years after the league saw a system of ‘players by choice’ in which the clubs were bound to pick a player through lottery.

The two-day Player Transfers for the 2016-17 season of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League will begin today at Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) office at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. The league is scheduled to start on April 7 in three venues—Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, BKSP-3 and 4 ground.
With the most of the clubs finalised the team combination, it would be a mere formalities. And since the national players are busy in Sri Lanka tour, the attraction will not be there like the past.

They also got the players like Taijul Islam, Naeem Islam, Dewan Sabbir, Asif Hasan to form a formidable team. The formidable Rupganj team will have to drop one national pool player as at the moment the team has four national pool players
Domestic powerhouse Mohammedan Sporting Club who remains the shadow of their golden past acquired the service of Imrul Kayes, Mehedi Hasan Miraj, Shubhashis Roy, amongst whom Mehedi is not a pool player. Prime Doleshwar formed a team with the likes of Shahriar Nafees, Imtiaz Hossain Tanna, Farhad Reza, Abdul Majid, Sharifullah, Delwar Hossain and Marshall Ayub.
