Chuadanga: A farmer was stabbed to death by miscreants at Panka village in Jibannagar upazila early yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, 28, son of Khokai Biswas of the village. Officer-in-charge of Jibannagar Police Station Enamul Haque said a group of miscreants entered the house of Kalam around 12:30am while he along with his wife and children was asleep. The attackers stabbed Kamal indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him dead on the spot. They also stabbed Kamal’s wife Anwara Khatun as she tried to save her husband. Injured Anwara was first taken to Jibannagar upazila health complex and then shifted to Jessore Medical College Hospital. The reason behind the killing could not be known yet.
