Firearms, ammunition seized

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized three foreign made pistols, five magazines and 13 bullets from Kaliganj frontier area under Shibganj upazila of the district on Wednesday night. On a tip-off, a BGB team from Kironganj Border Outpost conducted a raid in the area and recovered the firearms and ammunition, a BGB official said. Seeing a suspected man coming from Indian side with a bag, BGB members chased him. He fled away leaving the bag, he added.
