Certificate award ceremony held
The certificate award ceremony of ‘Business Communication Skill Course’ was held at Bijoy auditorium on Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) campus in the capital yesterday.
BUP Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah addressed the function as the chief guest with Dean of Centre for Modern Language Col Abu Saleh Mohammad Rafiqul Islam in the chair, said a BUP press release.
Centre for Modern Languages of BUP and British Council jointly organised the course for faculty members and officers of the university to augment communication skill into them. The course was held between January 18 and March 15.
Eastern University, VSO Bangladesh sign MoU
The Career Services and International Office (CSIO) at Eastern University and Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Eastern University Board Room on Wednesday, says a press release.
This MoU will allow EU students to work as VSO volunteers on three to four months post-graduate, graduate or internship volunteering programme in different part of Bangladesh. Through this MoU a new window has opened for EU students to engage themselves in diverse community development projects, create vital practical skills and enhance great voluntary work experiences with international voluntary personnel.
Prof Abdur Rab, vice-chancellor, Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, pro-vice chancellor, Abul Basher Khan, registrar, Mohammad Imtiaj, director, Public Relations, Md Jamal Uddin, deputy director (In-Charge), Career Services and International Office, Md Tarek Khan, Executive, Career Services and International Office, Eastern University were present during the signing ceremony.
Training workshop held at BUET
The certificate awarding and closing ceremony of a 3-day training workshop on ‘Development of Competitive Business Plan with Modern Technologies in Light Engineering Sector’ was held at the seminar room of Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on Tuesday, says a press release.
This workshop was organised by the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), BUET. Total 30 participants were owners, managers, entrepreneurs, technologists and engineers of various engineering industries and enterprises from all over the country. Teachers of IAT, other departments of BUET and some other university and experts from private and public organisations of the country rendered training as the resource persons in the workshop.
The closing session of the training workshop was chaired by-Prof M Kamal Uddin, Director, Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), BUET.
