Long march to raise fund for Liberation War Museum
Liberation War Museum and Ovijaatri will arrange a long march on March 26 to raise fund for permanent building of Liberation War Museum in the capital’s Agargaon.
“The long march will start from the Central Shaheed Minar at 6 am and to be ended at National Mausoleum in Savar", Everest winner first Bangladeshi woman Nishat Majumder told a press conference on Wednesday in the auditorium of Liberation War Museum in Dhaka.
Interested people have been requested to enroll their names at Liberation War Museum office or on facebook.com/walkmileforlwm or facebook.com/ovijaatri.eco/Trustee of the museum and member-secretary Ziauddin Tariq Ali, trustee Mofidul Haque, bird specialist Inam Al Haque and programme co-coordinator of the museum Rafiqul Islam, among others, were present at the press conference.
Workshop on land zoning held in Barisal
A day-long divisional workshop for land zoning was held at Barisal Circuit House on Wednesday demanding to ensure using of limited land resource with proper planning. 
Md Shamsul Islam Sharif, state minister of land ministry inaugurated the programme as chief guest. 
Barisal Divisional Commissioner Md Gaus presided over the programme while Mahfuzur Rahman, chairman land reform board and Shawkat Akbar, project director attended as special guests. Officials related with land and general administration, environment, agriculture participated in the workshop.
Project inception meeting held
Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh and Caritas Bangladesh jointly organised an inception meeting of the project titled “Empowering Vulnerable for four slums by building every day and disaster risk” at Caritas Auditorium, Rupsha Khulna in the city on Wednesday, says a press release. 
The objective of the Inception meeting was to share the project information with stakeholders and to collect valuable suggestions and recommendations for better implementation of this project. The project will be implemented in four slums under Khulna City Corporation with the aim to empower the vulnerable people to reduce their existing risks, and vulnerabilities through capacity building, construction of resilient infrastructure, creating income generating opportunities as well as proper advocacy. 
Palash Kanti Bala, deputy secretary and chief Executive officer of Khulna City Corporation was present as chief guest. Md. Liaquat Ali, Deputy Director, Fire Service & Civil Defense, Khulna and Engineer Md. Kamaluddin Aamed, Deputy Managing Director (Engr.) & Project Director, Khulna Water Supply & Sewerage Authority, Khulna WASA was present as special guests. Caritas Central office Ranjon Francis Rozario, Assistant Executive Director and Pintu Willam Gomes, Senior Manager, Disaster Management of Caritas Bangladesh made key note presentation of this project.
