An employee of the Wari office of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd (BTCL) has been suspended over the seizure of 76,000 yaba pills from the office, reports UNB.
The action was taken against Mohammad Mostafa, a technician (work charge) of the BTCL office, yesterday as per the order of State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim, senior information officer at the ministry Enayet Hossain told the news agency.
Earlier, police in a drive arrested Abu Bakar Siddique along with 76,000 yaba tablets from the BTCL office at Wari in the capital on Tuesday morning.
BTCL employee M Mostafa fled the spot sensing the presence of the law enforcers during the drive.
